The Text Express

The Text Express toolkit helps to support the transition from oral to written language. Using an explicit approach, The Text Express teaches the macrostructure and microstructure of 8 text types using icons, graphic organisers, explicit lessons and model texts.  
 
Designed for students from K-6 and older children with limited language skills, non-English speaking backgrounds, or students with disabilities, The Text Express can be used by teachers, speech pathologists, education assistants, and parents or volunteers (under teacher supervision).
